Artisan Landscape Construction began long before the company existed — it started 30 years go with Eduardo Sr.
30 years ago, after several years of dedicated service in a landscaping company, Eduardo Anaya Sr. made the courageous decision to step away from his supervisory role and pursue his dream of entrepreneurship. With a family to support and an unwavering commitment to the American Dream, he embarked on an uncertain journey in the landscaping industry.
Mr. Anaya relied on timeless values of hard work, integrity, and an indomitable spirit to forge his own path and establish his maintenance route. When asked about his dream by a client, his response was simple yet profound: "To work 7 days a week."

These days, Mr. Anaya no longer works seven days a week, but there were times when he did. Presently, he enjoys a more relaxed pace, having fulfilled his dream of expanding his maintenance route to provide for his family. Three decades later, his perspective has evolved, his sons are grown men, and he recognizes that a more significant dream has also come to fruition. He has molded his two sons into honest, hardworking, college-educated individuals, all thanks to his landscaping maintenance route.
For Mr. Anaya, seeing both of his sons graduate from prestigious academic institutions, Allegheny College and Chapman University, has reshaped his understanding of achieving the American Dream. He has nurtured a promising next generation of Anayas’.
Founders Bio
Eduardo Jr. grew up in the field from a young age, thanks to his father, Eduardo Sr. He learned the craft the way true builders do — hands‑on. Masonry, grading, irrigation, horticulture, tree care, problem‑solving on job sites — he absorbed every detail. Over the years, he saw what worked, what didn’t, and what clients truly needed: a contractor who understands both construction and the living environment.
Growing up in Santa Ana, Eduardo became a Nicholas Academic Center Scholar, a program founded and sponsored by Henry T. Nicholas — famed billionaire, philanthropist, and founder of Broadcom. The NAC shaped his academic journey, providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunity. It instilled discipline, ambition, and a belief that with hard work, anything is possible.
After graduating from Allegheny College with a degree in Environmental Science and Economics, Eduardo returned home with a vision. He presented a transformative proposal to his father — to expand the family business into modern landscape construction, professional landscape management, and arbor care.
Eduardo Sr. had reservations at first. Change is never simple, especially when a business carries decades of family history. But after careful thought, he placed his trust in his son. His response was short, but carried the weight of a legacy:
“You lead us.”
That moment became the turning point.
Driven by a deep desire to build something greater than even his ancestors imagined, Eduardo poured everything into the new direction. In 2018, his vision became reality with the founding of Artisan Landscape Construction.
Today, Eduardo carries the torch — honoring the past, elevating the present, and pursuing his own American Dream through craftsmanship, integrity, and a relentless commitment to excellence.
